“Neurology, as a science that examines the brain and nervous system, is not limited to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Its stakes are deeper: through the understanding of brain functions, it seeks to shed light on human existence, thoughts, emotions, and behavior.
Preventive medicine plays a crucial role in neurology today, focusing on the early diagnosis and modification of risk factors for neurological diseases. Through timely interventions, genetic screening, and regular monitoring, it aims to reduce the incidence of conditions such as stroke, dementia, and neurodegenerative diseases. By prioritizing prevention, neurology globally aims to improve not only life expectancy but, more importantly, quality of life.”
